DAVID STONE
DAVID STONE
For centuries, David has been the symbol of the human ideal: proportion, beauty, and perfection. Carved in stone to represent the hero before battle, his figure became one of the greatest emblems of classical art. In this work, that ideal is not preserved. The sculpture emerges altered by contemporary signs, where urban language intrudes upon the stone that once represented eternity.
The marks, symbols, and words that adorn its surface do not seek to destroy the past, but rather to engage with it. Classical perfection meets the expression of a new generation, where the street itself becomes a museum.
Here, David ceases to be merely a Renaissance hero and becomes a reflection of the present: an icon that continues to resist the passage of time, even when the world decides to reinterpret it. Because art does not remain static.
Art evolves with those who inhabit it.
